CHEF / OWNER
At the age of 18, Bobby left his hometown to pursue his dream of becoming a professional chef.
In 1984 he received a degree of Applied Science Food Service Management , specializing in fine dining with a Southwest flare, and several years later became certified as an Executive Chef by the American Culinary Federation.
Bobby was recruited to help open Meson de Mesilla Bed and Breakfast in Old Mesilla, NM where he remained the executive chef until 1992.
In 1993, he established BobBea’s Catering, a family-owned business which has provided handcrafted food and exceptional service to the Las Cruces/El Paso regions for the past 24 years. In 1995 he joined David L. Carrasco Job Corps Center in El Paso, TX where he currently serves as the Food Manager and culinary instructor.
Bobby’s creative commitment to food service extends beyond the conventional kitchen. Motivated by his friends at Landmark Mercantile, his kitchen also went mobile in 2013. Foodies now have the opportunity to taste his unique flavors from the BobBea’s Rolling Grill.
